Imran Mir’s chase-killing burst

Imran Mir took control as soon as the target was set, and his 78 off 48 balls ensured Amo Sharks cruised home by eight wickets with 25 balls remaining. After Band-e-Amir Dragons’ innings lurched from a flying start into a stutter, Mir and Abdul Malik made the chase feel one-paced, keeping the asking rate in check and finishing the job well before the 20th over.

Middle-overs collapse decided it

The game was effectively won in the Dragons’ middle overs, where they lost six wickets for 53 runs. After racing to 54/0 in the powerplay, they were squeezed by Qais Ahmad’s control and wickets, and the innings never recovered its tempo. That slide forced them into a below-par 133/9, despite having set up a platform for a much bigger total.

Mir and Malik shut the door

Mir was the decisive figure, mixing clean hitting with smart rotation to maintain a strike rate of 162. Malik’s 39 off 37 provided stability at the other end, and their 116-run partnership removed any opening for a comeback. With the ball, Qais set the tone, while Naib’s strikes ensured the Dragons never got back to a defendable total.

Qais Ahmad breaks the platform

The Dragons’ best chance came through the opening stand of 63 between Sediqullah Atal and Haroon Khan, with Atal striking 42 off 29 to keep the run rate high early. But once the first wicket fell, Amo’s bowlers hit hard in clusters: Qais’ 3/18 choked scoring options, and Gulbadin Naib’s 3/30 kept the pressure on through the middle. Even the late 26/3 at the death couldn’t restore momentum.
