Saxena’s chase-defining blitz
Divyaansh Saxena seized control early and never let go, smashing 89 off 39 to make a 130 chase feel routine. ARCS Andheri cruised home by 9 wickets with 49 balls remaining, reaching 130/1 in 11.4 overs after Eagle Thane Strikers were dismissed for 129 in their 20. The decisive moment came in the first six overs: Saxena’s clean striking ensured the asking rate was effectively erased before the game could settle.
Powerplay burst broke it
The match was won in the chase powerplay, where ARCS raced to 65 without loss at 10.8 an over. That single phase halved the target inside six overs and forced Eagle Thane into defensive fields far too early. With the required rate collapsing, ARCS could pick their options through the middle overs, adding another 65/1 at the same tempo and leaving no need for a late surge.
Prasoon, Mishra set tone
Prasoon Singh’s 3/22 was the standout with the ball, combining control with timely breakthroughs to prevent a late push. Ajay Mishra (2/13) and Shivam Dube (2/19) backed him up by keeping the middle overs tight and cashing in when batters looked to accelerate. Then Saxena, in a 105-run stand with his partner, delivered the knockout blow with a strike rate of 228 to seal the chase well inside 12 overs.
Strikers’ innings never kicked
Eagle Thane’s 129 was built in small pockets rather than one commanding stand. Their best partnership—38 between Sairaj Patil and Eknath Kerkar—briefly stabilised the innings, but the scoring rate stayed in check: 34/2 in the powerplay and 69/3 through the middle. ARCS kept squeezing, then struck repeatedly at the back end as the Strikers slid to 26/5 in the death overs, losing momentum and wickets together.
