Vaibhav Sooryavanshi hit 81 as India completed a 3-0 T20I sweep of Zimbabwe in Harare, setting up a 35-run win after posting 192 for 5 and restricting the hosts to 157 for 7. Mayank Yadav took three wickets and Yash Thakur two, while Ryan Burl finished unbeaten on 54 for Zimbabwe.

Bangladesh have recalled Soumya Sarkar for the first Test against Australia in Darwin, bringing him back into the Test set-up after a five-year gap. They have also included Jaker Ali and uncapped seamer Musfik Hasan as part of five changes from the squad that played Zimbabwe earlier this month.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taskin Ahmed return after being rested for the Zimbabwe Test, but Bangladesh are dealing with injuries to Nahid Rana, Shoriful Islam and Litton Das. Fast bowler Yash Dayal is set to represent Chhattisgarh in the 2026-27 domestic season, with his no-objection certificate understood to be in process and the player already attending the state’s pre-season camp in Alur. Dayal has not played competitive cricket since the IPL 2025 final, after which he faced charges relating to sexual assault.

Although retained by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for IPL 2026, Dayal did not join the squad and missed the season, with RCB saying it was not in either party’s best interests given his personal situation. He was also left out of Gorakhpur Lions’ 18-man squad for the upcoming UP T20 League after being retained in June.
