Chasing 178, Norway stayed in touch through the middle overs, but Tambe’s strikes halted their momentum and left too much for the back end. When the pressure peaked, Norway’s finishing deserted them, and the chase fizzled to 141/9.
Finland’s death-overs surge
The game was effectively won in Finland’s final five overs. After a steady build through the powerplay (47/1) and middle phase (88/2), they finished with 42/4 at 10.5 an over to push the total beyond Norway’s comfort zone. Vanraaj Padhaal anchored the innings, and even as wickets fell late, Finland kept finding boundary options often enough to turn a competitive score into a demanding one.
