Even after early wickets, Deshan’s calm tempo ensured the target stayed within reach, and the finishing touch came at 19.2 overs.
Middle-overs surge decides chase
The match was effectively won in Switzerland’s middle overs, where they turned a slightly wobbly start into control. After the powerplay ended at 57/3, the chase could have tightened, but Switzerland struck 102/1 in the middle phase at 10.2 an over.
